Dopo aver visitato la Basilica Cisterna di Istanbul, e il suo meraviglioso ambiente d’acqua, la direzione artistica di ARTLIFE for the world (Eventi di arte contemporanea) di Venezia ha avuto l’ispirazione di allestire una mostra suggestiva di WATER ART in quel magico e storico spazio.
L’evento vuole aiutare a definire il rapporto fra la città e l’acqua che vi giace sotterranea, ed evidenziare il contatto fra la dimensione dell’acqua e la dimensione della terra. Un legame piú stretto fra arte ed ambiente é una delle necessitá dei nostri tempi – e non solo a livello locale, ma su scala globale – e la preservazione e valorizzazione dei paesaggi acquatici é uno dei principali obiettivi della WATER ART.
Questa nuova iniziativa di ARTLIFE for the world ha lo scopo di colpire i visitatori con l’originalità culturale ed artistica di installazioni sull’acqua che portano il messaggio di Venezia nel Levante. Un evento molto speciale, come altri eventi che ARTLIFE for the world ha organizzato nella laguna di Venezia per la Biennale Arti Visive (ARTELAGUNA 1995 e APHRODITE 2009).

After visiting Yerebatan Sarnici, the Basilica Cistern of Istanbul, and its wonderful water ambient, the artistic Direction of ARTLIFE for the world in Venice (Contemporary art events) was moved to plan a particularly suggestive exhibition of WATER ART in this magic historical environment. The event aims to help define the relationship between the city and the water underground and give evidence to the link between the dimensions of water and land. A close bond between art and environment is among the priorities of our time - not only locally, but throughout the entire world - and the preservation and valorization of water landscapes is one of the main targets of WATER ART. This new endeavor by ARTLIFE for the world aims to impact visitors with the cultural and artistic originality of water installations bringing messages of Venice to the Levant. It’s a very special event, like other events that ARTLIFE for the world has organized on the lagoon of Venice for the Biennale of the Visual Arts (ARTELAGUNA 1995 and APHRODITE 2009).
